我們都想成為自己，卻總有些時候，仍先成為了別人期待的樣子。Balmenach is a quietly fascinating Speyside distillery. Unlike Macallan, Glenfarclas or Longmorn, it rarely stands in the spotlight. More often, it plays an important yet unseen role in blended whisky.
People can be much the same. It is not that we lack ability or character; we simply learn, within certain systems and environments, to become reliable, useful and easy to work with. We imagine that leaving will make us free, only to realise that obedience, patience and putting others first have already become instinct.

Full-bodied and structured, yet dry rather than overly sweet, with a lingering finish of roasted nuts, cinnamon, tobacco and fine tannins.濃厚なオロロソシェリーの香りが広がり、レーズン、デーツ、ドライイチジク、オレンジピールが重なる。クルミ、ダークチョコレート、コーヒー、熟成した木のニュアンスも感じられる。厚みのある酒質ながら甘すぎずドライで、余韻にはナッツ、シナモン、タバコ、繊細なタンニンが長く続く。
